Throughout the year, the Tunica County Chamber of Commerce & Main Street Association host a variety of special events ranging from parades to open houses and fun festivals, as well as numerous other community events.

Local festivals include:

  • Tunica Rivergate Festival
  • April 16 & 17, 2010 Tunica Rivergate Festival is back in family style featuring free live entertainment with Crossin Dixon starting the party off on Friday night and Braden Gray will be winding us down on Saturday afternoon.  And a whole lot of fun in between will be taking place. The Carnival will be back (THURSDAY Night wristband Night), Rock Climbing, Train Rides, backyard barbecuing (Blind judging on Saturday), Tunica Idol Contest Saturday, Running of the HOGS, Studebaker Car Show,  and our very own Rivergate Ragtop Rally featuring local convertibles of all models and makes possibly sporting their own personal Queen. New this year is the Great Delta Bicylce Race (Tour de Tunica) family fun riding pleasure.   Crawfish Alley opens Thursday Night 6pm with their yearly Mudbug fest in their unique down on the Bayou corner of the Festival.  Bringing back the welcomed attraction of the Arts & Crafts with over 100 vendors expected.  A fun filled weekend brought to you by the Town of Tunica, Tunica County Chamber of Commerce, Tunica Convention & Visitors Bureau, Sam's Town Casino, Resorts & Ballys Casinos, Tunica Main Street and area businesses.  For more info call the Chamber office 62-363-2865

  • Fourth of July Children’s Parade.
  • Delta Day Festival. The festival celebrates the history of the Delta and features arts, crafts, collectibles and more originating in the Delta. The festival takes place annually in the late fall and features live music, children’s activities, mouth-watering food and much more.
  • Christmas Open House. Every November the shops in the Town of Tunica open up for a Christmas Open House. Visitors can browse the shops, listen to carolers, visit with Santa and take horse-drawn carriage rides.

Other special events throughout the year include weekly events at Battle Arena and a wide variety of special exhibits at the local museum, including book signings, visiting artists and opera.
